On Monday, May 27th, we honor those who died in the service of their
country. More than 43 million American Patriots have made the ultimate
sacrifice to protect Liberty, both here and elsewhere in the world. (http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0004615.html)
One percent or less of Americans at any one time serve their country in
the Armed Forces. Just one-half of 1 percent of Americans served in
uniform at any given time during the past decade -- the longest period
of sustained conflict in the country’s history. Please take time this
weekend to remember the fallen and thank those who have served in
uniform for both their service and sacrifices. Remember, too, to say a
prayer for both those currently in the military and their families. Our
Liberty is in their protection. In honor of the fallen, fly the U.S.
Flag at Half Staff from Sunrise Until Noon on Monday 5/27/13 for
Memorial Day. God Bless those who are serving and have served.
Stand strong, Patriots! No Compromise, No Surrender!
Dedicated to keeping America true to the Founder's ideals and the U.S. Constitution.
“The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.” Samuel Adams
